Upon your first appointment at the clinic, we like to spend some time getting to know you. This will include an informal chat to learn about your current and past activities, personal history, and reason for visiting the clinic. We will then run through a physical examination, helping us get a good overview of how your body is functioning.

Following our examination, we may need to refer you for X-ray imaging to help us determine the underlying causes of your symptoms and ensure it is safe and appropriate to continue with care. Should this be required, X-ray procedures are charged separately.

Here at Finesse we have a variety of treatment modalities to ensure our patients receive the best care and results. This can include adjustments, exercise rehabilitation, stretches, needling, traction, muscle release and much more. We will always empower our patients with solid education and advice to best help themselves outside of the clinic.

Your initial journey with Finesse follows our 4 steps to better health over two days and includes

Day 1: Assessment & Examination

Step 1

Consultation & Examination

We begin with a focused conversation to understand your:
  • Lifestyle
  • Health History
  • The reason for your visit
Your chiropractor will assess:
  • Posture and spinal alignment
  • Joint movement and flexibility
  • Additional scans and screening if needed
This gives us a clear, complete picture of how your body is functioning so care can be tailored to you.

Step 2

X-Rays

If further investigation is needed, your practitioner may request X-ray imaging with your consent. 
X-rays are billed separately unless included in a current offer.

Day 2: Results & Treatment

Step 3

Report of Findings

We’ll explain your results clearly and confirm whether chiropractic care is suitable. If appropriate, you may begin treatment at this stage (charged separately) or place a deposit towards your prescribed care plan.
If you choose not to proceed with treatment, you will still receive:
  • Verbal Diagnostic findings
  • Specialist treatment advice

Step 4

Personalised Care Plan

If you choose to set up a care plan, we offer discounted rates and flexible payment options for convenience. Whether you proceed with a plan or opt for pay-as-you-go, your treatment remains consistent, with the same structured approach and timing of care throughout.
*X-rays can only be given if they are clinically justified. X-rays will be taken in house at Birmingham and charged for separately.

If a patient is unsafe to treat or needs to be referred, the referral is free of charge. It is the responsibility of every individual to thoroughly read through all of the Terms and Conditions before booking.

Patient Information & Policies

Cancellation Policy

We value your time and ask that you value ours too. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please give us notice:

  • Existing Patients – Kindly provide at least 24 hours' notice
  • New Patients – A 48-hour notice is required for cancellations or reschedules

Missed Appointments or Late Cancellations (under 24 hours)

Full appointment fee will be charged.

Exceptional Circumstances

We understand that emergencies happen. In such cases, the charge may be waived at the Clinic Manager’s discretion.

Arrival Policy

If chiropractic care is suitable, your plan may include:

  • New Patients: Please arrive 15 minutes early if you haven’t completed the online intake form. This time allows you to fill in any required paperwork before seeing your chiropractor.
  • Returning Patients: Please arrive on time, or ideally 5 minutes early. Arriving late may shorten your session to ensure we stay on schedule for others.

X-Ray Protocol

If your chiropractor requires X-rays during your visit, please prepare in advance:

  • Do wear: Comfortable clothing without metal
  • Do not wear: Jewellery, metal zips, buttons, or hooks and leave jewellery at home where possible. You’ll need to remove it for the procedure.

Why?

Metal creates “artefacts” in X-ray images that can obscure results, leading to possible misdiagnosis. Your cooperation ensures safe and accurate imaging.
