Frequently asked chiropractic questions

Your New Patient Experience includes two appointments:

Appointment one is your initial consultation. During this consultation, the Chiropractor will carry out a thorough assessment of your health and perform any necessary additional diagnostic investigations (including x-rays if needed). The results from the consultation (and X-rays if taken) will be studied by your Chiropractor before appointment two.

Appointment two is called your 'Report of Findings'. During this appointment, your Chiropractor will discuss the findings found in the consultation. A precise diagnosis will be given as well as a treatment plan and your first Chiropractic treatment.

Treatments are charged independently.

At Finesse Chiropractic, we understand the importance of Vitalistic Wellness Care. Therefore, the treatment plans are designed to ensure long term optimal health. The treatment process can then begin providing the patient is happy with the proposed plan.

Chiropractic is a treatment that does not require you to remove any clothing. We advise wearing comfortable clothing to your appointments. You will be asked to move into various positions during treatments, so non-restrictive clothing is recommended. For X-Rays, we ask that you remove any jewellery and metals from your body and clothing.

We are based in three locations and share buildings with Prestige Dental Care. So make sure you attend your appointment at the correct location. Our three addresses are:

Tamworth

25 Albert Road, Tamworth B79 7JS

Bedworth

19-21 Congreve Walk, Bedworth CV12 8LX

Whitestone

41 Lutterworth Road, Nuneaton CV11 4LE

Once inside the buildings, follow the signs for the Finesse Chiropractic reception.

You can reschedule or cancel your appointment by calling the practice.

Please give us at least 48 hours of notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.

This applies to both treatments and consultations. After payment has been made, initial consultation bookings are non-refundable.

Charge for cancellation or 'no show' in exceptional or unavoidable circumstances will be at the discretion of the Clinic Manager.

This allows us to ensure that all patients receive equal time for each treatment. So:

Please make sure you arrive 5 mins before the scheduled appointment.

If you do end up running a bit late, please ensure you don't arrive any later than 5 minutes after your scheduled appointment.

If you are over five minutes late, your appointment will run over and affect other patients appointments. If this happens, your session will be lost, and you may be charged for the appointment.

This can vary between patients depending on the problem you present with and how long you have had the issue. During your second appointment, the Chiropractor will advise the number of sessions needed to achieve long term optimal health and function.

It is always important to remember that generally, people have been suffering from problems and conditions for months, if not years. Although you may get instant relief from a just few sessions, it will take more than one or two treatments to fix the problem at its root, long term.

Each adjustment builds on the last one. In order to ensure a structural change occurs and not just a symptomatic one, you will need to follow a course of care with some maintenance.

We care plan because we truly CARE!

We care about your health and the results you wish to receive through chiropractic.

You could put in mediocre effort and get mediocre results, but average and mediocre do not exist at Finesse Chiropractic.

As a team we are fully committed to seeing you reach your health goals, and require you to be fully committed to that process and your goals as well.

No halfway committed. No mediocre health.

This sound is nothing to be alarmed about, and it may not happen during every adjustment. During an adjustment, there is a pressure change between your joints, resulting in the release of a gas bubble that can make that 'pop' or 'crack' sound.

The adjustments are not designed or performed to cause any pain. The pressure which comes from the action is aimed to create ease at the joint and release strain longer term.

Patients may already be in a lot of pain when they attend. As a result, they occasionally feel slight discomfort when getting into particular adjustment positions. Over time and as pressure is released, those patients can better manoeuvre pain free into those positions comfortably.

Yes, they are. To practice as a Chiropractor in the UK, they are all legally obliged to be registered with General Chiropractic Council following the 1994 Chiropractors Act.
